Privacy & browser storage

phiOro uses browser storage only when it is necessary for security, remembers a useful preference, or supports a testing study that a participant has explicitly accepted. It does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Essential login sessions

When you sign in, the site uses a temporary session cookie to keep your account authenticated and protect restricted pages. The application cannot provide a secure signed-in area without it.

Interface preferences

The site may save choices such as color theme, gallery layout, or column count in your browser. These preferences make the interface more convenient and are not used to advertise to you or follow you across websites.

Consented product testing

Designated testers are shown a separate consent screen before research collection begins. For participants who agree, phiOro records page paths, named controls clicked, active time, sessions, frequency of use, categories created (including category names), and sanitized technical errors.

The research logger does not copy passwords, general form values, messages, artwork content, private credentials, or the text a participant types. Category names are normal application content and are attributed to their creator for the study and category permissions. A short-lived study identifier is kept in session storage and ends with the browser tab or session.

Connected services

If you choose to connect services such as email, text messaging, Facebook, Instagram, or TikTok, those providers may use their own cookies and account-security systems on their websites. phiOro stores provider access credentials server-side in encrypted form and uses them only for the features you authorize. It does not add advertising pixels through those connections.

Your choice

Testing participation is voluntary. A tester may ask the project owner to stop collection and delete their study records. Essential login sessions are separate from research participation.
